1 Kings 18:36-37 – a prayer of Elijah

O, Lord God of my ancestors,

a time of offering draws near.

 

Now, let everyone know

You are God,

and I am here to serve You

in obedience to Your word.

 

Answer me, O Lord, answer me,

so people who gather will know

You are Lord.

 

You are God, and only You

can turn hearts back to You.
